ABOUT REVERAND DEANGELO TURNER
Rev Turner’s life has not been without hardship. His story includes struggle, detours, and personal trials. But through faith, perseverance, and liberation, he came forward stronger, wiser, and more committed to serving others.
Along the way, he had the honor of building meaningful relationships with two respected Oregon leaders from different political backgrounds. He learned law and leadership from Dennis Richardson, former Secretary of State of Oregon and a Republican. He also learned valuable lessons while working with former Governor John Kitzhaber, a Democrat, on budget matters while he was in office. These experiences gave him insight across party lines and helped shape his belief that leadership should focus on results, wisdom, and service to the people.
Today, Rev DeAngelo Turner is a minister, a lifelong Oregonian, and a man committed to helping build a safer, stronger, and more united future for the people of Oregon.
Rev DeAngelo Turner was born on February 14, 1970, and raised in Portland, Oregon in the North and Northeast community.
He grew up in the Columbia Villa housing project, raised by his grandparents, Kelsey and Iola Turner, alongside his sisters and cousins. His grandparents instilled values of education, discipline, and living the right way.
